MCB Design Awards

Entry for the 30th Museu da Casa Brasileira Design Awards poster contest. Brief: announce the 30th edition of the MCB Design Awards featuring one of the following themes: architecture, urban planning, interior design, furniture design, or product design. My approach was to illustrate the number 30 as a paired down city grid, inspired by Bauhaus design and São Paulo's colours (red, white and black). The typeface used is Objektiv, by Brazilian designer Bruno Mello for Dalton Maag.

Below: entry for the 31st MCB Design Awards poster contest. This time around, I wished to reference famed Brazilian designer Aloisio Magalhães both in colour and shape. The design problem I decided to explore was to reference the 2D and 3D form in the simplest way possible, and I did this by adding a shadow to the number "1". The typeface used for the entire poster, like the one above, was Dalton Maag's Objektiv.

Created in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
